Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Visa Refusal Appeal collects, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect today

The contact form on this site is switched off. Nothing typed into it is sent, stored or read by anyone. The only information the site receives is the analytics described below, and any email you choose to send to team@visarefusalappeal.com.au.

Please do not send sensitive information, such as criminal history details, or documents by email. We cannot act on them and have no secure way to hold them.

Why we collect it

An email you send is used to reply to you and, where it points to an error, to correct the site. Analytics are used to see which pages are read. Neither is sold, and neither is used to advertise to you. We are not a migration agent or a law firm and we do not give immigration assistance, so we do not assess anyone's case.

Site analytics

Every page on this site loads a script from Cloudflare that reports that the page was viewed and how quickly it loaded. Cloudflare's own documentation describes it as collecting timing metrics through the browser's Performance API and says it does not collect visitors' personal data. What reaches us is counts, grouped by country, page path, referring site, device type, browser and operating system. Requesting that script, like requesting any file from any server, tells the server answering it your IP address.

If the form is opened later (intended policy)

This section describes what we intend to do. It is not in effect while the form is switched off, and this policy will be updated before the form opens.

• The form would ask for your name, email, optional phone number, the type of decision, where you applied, the visa type, the date on your decision letter, whether you are in immigration detention, and anything you choose to write.
• Your submission would go only to the sponsoring practice named beside the form, and only with your consent, given by an unticked checkbox separate from any terms. That practice would be named in the consent text, along with the fact that it pays this site a fee.
• We would not sell or resell your details, and would not send them to a second practice.
• We would delete the submission after delivery, within 30 days.
• You could withdraw consent at any time by emailing team@visarefusalappeal.com.au.
• The form would ask you not to include criminal history details. Anything you type may still include sensitive information, which is why consent would be asked for before sending.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or make a complaint, by emailing team@visarefusalappeal.com.au.
